Transform the dog days of summer into fall creativity

Since it is too hot for some of us to be outside why not take that extra time and start crafting for the fall and cooler weather. All you need is some ordinary household objects and BAM you have made some great decor for your porch or deck or even front yard.

Pumpkin Tower

Ok let's face it, as crafters we need to think ahead. Yes, we are still in the dog days of summer but the cool fall weather will be here before you know it . It's time to think about our decor.

Materials for this project:

Dryer vent flexible hose

Spray paint ( whatever color you prefer)

Hot Glue

E6000 Glue

(2) large plastic bowls from The Dollar Tree

(1) pack of 4 salad bowls

fat twig or small branch

chain necklaces (optional)

After deciding what size you pumpkins should be cut the dryer vent hose to that size and attach both ends with hot glue.

Take the newly made pumpkins outside and spray paint them you desired colors. Let dry completely.

Once your pumpkins are dry hot glue them together ( watch the glue is HOT) and embellish the top with the twig of stick by hot gluing it in the center. Adding fake leaves or Spanish moss is totally optional.

DIY Pumpkin Urn

Using (1) of the large Dollar Tree bowls and (1) of the small salad bowls, turn the large bowl upside down and hot glue the salad bowl to the bottom.

Take the other small salad bowl and hot glue that on top keeping it right side up.

Lastly, glue the remaining salad bowl to the rest of the stack.

Embellish with the beaded necklaces if desired

Spray paint the entire tower of bowls when glue is set.

Glue the pumpkins to the top of the tower and add more Spanish moss if desired.

Let dry and BAM !! Your pumpkin tower is ready to be displayed.
